  • Southern Area Coordination Center -Home page for the Southern Area Coordination Center. Includes links to fire situation and status reports, fire training, weather, safety and business information.

  • National Wildfire Coordination Group - Home page for the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. Includes links to publications such as Task Books, Qualification guidelines and fire prevention materials.

  • Jackson Office National Weather Service -  Home page for the Jackson office of the National Weather Service. Includes fire weather and forestry operations links.

    • Tree Protection Standards in Construction Sites - This guide gives your trees the best chance of survival both during and after construction.  Use these standards to show a reasonable effort on your part to protect trees from damage.

    • Preserving Trees in Construction Site- Protection and the highest quality of care are the keys to preserving trees in construction sites.  Health decline and death following construction are usually caused by damage inflicted on the root system.

    • The International Society of Arboriculture is a non-profit organization supporting tree care research around the world and dedicated to the care and preservation of shade and ornamental trees.

    • A source of information on funding and national issues. The USDA Forest Service supports regional, state, and local programs through technical and financial assistance, as well as research.
